How long will my car transport take?+
Your quote sets out the proposed collection and delivery arrangements and estimated timing. Ferry hours describe only the sea crossing, not the complete journey. Road distance, sailing availability, shared-carrier schedules, access and customs can affect the plan. We do not promise a fixed European delivery time.
Will my car be driven or carried on a truck?+
We review both options with you. A professional driver can combine a ferry crossing with onward driving, adding mileage and requiring a road-legal vehicle and appropriate driver cover. Open and enclosed carriers are alternatives where available. Your quote identifies the method, ferry arrangements and any local driven transfers.
Can you transport a classic car, an EV or a non-running vehicle?+
Tell us the vehicle type, whether it runs, its dimensions and any low clearance, alarm or battery issues. We confirm the chosen carrier’s loading equipment and the exact ferry’s acceptance rules before offering a solution. A non-runner requires agreed loading and unloading arrangements; EV charging aboard is not assumed.
What about the UK, Switzerland and Norway?+
Non-EU movements need a customs review. Temporary stays, relocation and permanent imports have different rules, and owner residency matters. Great Britain and Northern Ireland must be distinguished. We agree who handles declarations, transit, taxes and destination registration before confirming the transport. It is not automatically tax-free.
Is the car automatically insured for its full value?+
No blanket full-value promise applies. CMR for qualifying international road carriage and Spain’s Ley 15/2009 can limit carrier liability; they are not the same as vehicle-value cargo insurance. The applicable rules also depend on the method and journey stage. Before approval, ask us to confirm actual cover, insured value, deductible, exclusions and whether ferry, loading, local transfers and storage are included.
