When is a passenger car due?
The age is counted from first registration, not when you bought the car. Ordinary M1 passenger cars are exempt up to four years, inspected every two years after four, and annually after ten. Check the next due date on the ITV record. Vans, commercial vehicles and specially classified historic cars have different rules; do not apply this schedule to every vehicle.
What to bring and where to book
Bring the tarjeta ITV / ficha técnica and permiso de circulación. Itevebasa also recommends proof of compulsory insurance. Its Mallorca instructions specify payment by card or payment document. Book through itv.mallorca.es; the Consell also publishes 871 57 55 44 for appointments. Check the booking confirmation for the selected station and payment instructions.
The five fixed stations operated by Itevebasa are:
- Palma I / Son Castelló — Carrer del Gremi de Sucrers i Candelers 2, Palma.
- Palma II / Can Pastilla — Polígon Son Oms, Carrer Canal de Sant Jordi 1, Palma.
- Inca — Carretera Palma–Alcúdia km 30.
- Manacor — Carrer Oliveristes s/n.
- Calvià / Son Bugadelles — Carrer Son Thomas 6; the operator also lists Plaça Pasqual Miguel 4.

Three results — different driving rules
Favorable
The car may circulate until its next due inspection. Minor defects must be repaired within two months, but do not require a separate repeat inspection solely for those defects.
Desfavorable
Serious defects restrict driving to the workshop or regularisation and back for inspection. Repair and return within the granted deadline, no more than two months from the first inspection. This is not two months of normal use.
Negativa
Very serious defects prohibit public-road driving. Transport to the workshop must be by other means, such as a tow truck. Repair and repeat within the granted deadline, no more than two months. After the deadline, a full technical inspection is required.
How Azul Cars handles the appointment
Share the due date, registration and documents before leaving. Request ITV handling with your parking or storage booking. We coordinate attendance; our handling fee is separate from the station fee. Confirm the current total before approving the service.
ITV appointment handling · €49.00 + station fee
Tell us if ITV has already expired, the car is deregistered or a previous result restricts driving. Do not book a driven trip assuming an appointment makes it lawful. Repairs need your approval; attendance does not guarantee a pass or a fixed completion time.

ITV questions
Does an appointment let me drive with expired ITV?
No. Booking an appointment creates no grace period, including for the journey to the station. Arrange the inspection before expiry; if it has expired, discuss lawful transport rather than driving there.
Is a repeat inspection free in Mallorca?
Do not assume so. Confirm the station’s current re-inspection conditions and fee. Serious or very serious defects require repair and a repeat within the deadline granted, which cannot exceed two months; returning after it requires a full inspection.
Does your handling fee include the station fee or repairs?
No. Our handling fee and the ITV station fee are separate. Repairs, additional transport and any repeat attendance must be agreed separately. We arrange attendance, not a guaranteed pass; quoted work requires your approval of its scope and price.
